Chris Mignano & Theo Stewart-Stand
Mignano is a Co-Founder and CTO of Summitt Incorporated, New York City, primarily responsible for design and prototyping. He is currently a student at the Cooper Union, pursuing his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He is a self-proclaimed serial Entrepreneur, also having started companies in the footwear and feminine product dispenser spaces. He is formally employed as a mechanical engineer at Innoveering LLC, New York, has experience in design, prototyping, and business development, and served as the President of the Cooper Union’s chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Stewart-Stand is a Product Developer and Designer working for his companies, FolditFlat LLC, New York City, and Summitt Incorporated. He has developed multiple products and successfully marketed them around the world. He is interested in reuse and creating objects using readily available production processes and materials and reimagining them. He is a multiple patent holder. His vision is to reduce the user’s footprint: in this case, single-use plastic. He is working with his friend and collaborator Christopher Mignano, who is an Engineering graduate at the Cooper Union. Stewart-Stand is a graduate of the Cooper Union School of Art.

The “Hydrant Fountain” provides water from fire hydrants for free. The “Hydrant Fountain” creates a drinking water solution by accessing water from fire hydrants. One might ask if water from a hydrant is safe to drink. In many cities around the world, hydrant water is the same as what you get from your home tap.
We are developing a dispensing solution which attaches to the hydrant and has a sensor or metering system for implementation.
It is important to have clean water access for hot days. It is important for people who don’t want to buy water. It is also important that disadvantaged people have access to clean drinking water.
There have always been water fountains in public spaces, but a water bottle filling station from a hydrant is a new iteration.

Dobbiamo liberarci dalla nostra dipendenza dalla plastica.
