Giuseppe Piccolo
Piccolo, (b. Nola, Italy, 1959,) received his degree cum laude at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Naples “Federico II,” Naples, Italy, in 1990 and was recommended for publication.
After a brief experience in Naples in 1994, as the Assistant of Professor Lucio Morrica, holding lessons on Social Architecture, he founded Archi.Med.E. (Architettura Mediterranea Ecocompatible, aka eco-friendly Mediterranean architecture,) Naples, Italy, in collaboration with university Professors, Freelancers, and Business Operators, directed by Professor Architect Donatella Mazzoleni.
He is an Independent Contractor whose works are focused on historical building design and restoration activities and urban planning, as well as study and various research on issues concerned with the protection and conservation of historical architectural heritage and territory. He also promotes and applies the principles of bio-architecture and bio-urbanism and cultivates interests related to design and editorial graphics.
He likes to consider himself addicted to geometry and technical drawing.

Piccolo (Nola, 1959) si laurea con lode alla Facoltà di Architettura dell’Università “Federico II” di Napoli nel 1990, con pubblicazione.
Dopo una breve esperienza come assistente del Professore Lucio Morrica nel corso di Architettura Sociale, nel 1994 costituisce a Napoli, insieme a docenti universitari, liberi professionisti ed operatori del settore, il gruppo di studio e di lavoro denominato “Archi.Med.E.” (Architettura Mediterranea Ecocompatibile,) guidato dalla Professoressa Architetto Donatella Mazzoleni.
Libero professionista, svolge prevalentemente attività di progettazione e recupero di edilizia storica, di programmazione urbanistica, di studio e ricerca su tematiche legate alla tutela ed alla conservazione del patrimonio storico architettonico e del territorio. Promuove ed applica i principi della bio-architettura e della bio-urbanistica, coltiva interessi legati al design e alla grafica editoriale.
Nutre un’insana passione per la Geometria e il Disegno Tecnico.

A Free Port for Dreams and Follies
My madness, a silent friend and safe guide among the infinite worlds, loves to show me alien landscapes, where architecture draws the territory along ancient geometries.
With her, I fly over those cities that wrote history, that were shaped by history, that are tied together by invisible threads, by a plot made of stories and dreams about humans free in their hearts and minds.
When the entirety of humankind is able to leave behind this pandemic, it will find new energy to be reborn and renewed in these dream-places, as has always happened in the past.
The House of the Guitti wants to move and satisfy people’s wishes to communicate, to freely express their vision of beauty; it is a sort of stage machinery, a space-theater within a city-set for those poets, musicians, writers, painters, and dancers involved in single or multiple events, in a kaleidoscopic fusion of words and colors.
If the world needs dreaming, Venice, Italy, has that magic to make those dreams real.

Un Porto Franco per Sogni e Follie
La mia follia, amica silenziosa, guida sicura tra gli Infiniti Mondi, ama mostrarmi alieni paesaggi dove l’Architettura disegna il territorio grazie ad antiche geometrie.
Volo con lei su città che hanno fatto la storia e che dalla storia sono state modellate, città unite da fili invisibili, una trama fatta di racconti e di sogni di uomini liberi nel cuore e nella mente.
Se, e quando, l’umanità si lascerà alle spalle questa pandemia, sarà in questi luoghi che ritroverà nuova energia per rinascere e rinnovarsi, come sempre è accaduto nella storia.
La Casa dei Guitti vuole provocare, soddisfare il bisogno dell’individuo di comunicare ed esprimere liberamente la propria visione del bello; è una sorta di macchina scenica, uno spazio-teatro dentro una città-scenografia, aperto a poeti, musicisti, scrittori, pittori, e ballerini, per singoli o più eventi, fusi tra loro in un caleidoscopio di parole e colori.
Il mondo ha bisogno di sogni, Venezia ha la magia per renderli possibili.
