Stefano Cusumano
Cusumano was born in Palermo, Italy, on June 19, 1947, and has lived in Treviso, Italy, since 1975, where he practices medicine. He is passionate about photography—both shooting and working in the darkroom—as he has been since his father introduced it to him as a young boy. His masters, among others, include Mario Vidor, Giovanni Chiaramonte, and Jean Turco. Cusumano has published four books of his work: RiflesSile (Arcari, 2005,) Informal Venice (Vianello, 2008,) Dimensione Istria (Punto Marte, 2012,) and Specchi segreti della Crevada (Punto Marte, 2018).
Stefano Cusumano
Cusumano è nato a Palermo il 19 giugno del 1947. Dal 1975 vive a Treviso dove esercita la professione medica. La fotografia è una passione direttamente appresa dal padre fin da ragazzo, dalle riprese in esterno al lavoro in camera oscura. Tra i maestri di fotografia maggiormente seguiti: Mario Vidor, Giovanni Chiaramonte, e Jean Turco. L’Autore ha pubblicato quattro volumi fotografici: RiflesSile (per Arcari nel 2005,) Informal Venice (Vianello, 2008,) Dimensione Istria (Punto Marte 2012) e Specchi segreti della Crevada (Punto Marte, 2018).

These considerations alone are enough to remind us of the extreme fragility of this unique city.
This tenuous ecosystem needs to be carefully preserved, defended, and protected from the countless changes it has had to endure.
Otherwise, it will not be a virus, or even a misguided architectural project, to decree the end of Venice. Time, water, and people themselves (ourselves) will suffice.

Anche solo da queste considerazioni ci si rende conto della estrema fragilità di questa città unica.
Questo delicato ecosistema deve essere accuratamente preservato, difeso, e protetto dagli innumerevoli cambiamenti che lo assediano.
In caso contrario, non saranno un virus o un malaccorto progetto d’architettura a decretare la fine di Venezia; basteranno il tempo, l’acqua, e noi esseri umani.
